Review: Champps Americana - West Chester, OH

My friend Lou and I went out for dinner and a movie in West Chester and decided to eat at Champps. We were just trying to find plain "American" food - and that was the best option on the exit.

It's a fairly loud sports-oriented restaurant. They do have some fantastic leather recliners in the waiting area that I happily lounged in while we waited.

I ordered a pasta dish with a side salad - meh it was fine. I think the ranch was pretty good - you know I'm so picky about it. I hate the vinegary ones - I like one that you can tell is made with sour cream!

I went for the Lobster & Shrimp Campanelle which had spinach, spicy vodka cream sauce, parmesan and roasted red peppers. I liked this dish - but it was a bit skimpy on the ingredients - as you can see - very little shrimp, very little lobster, very little shrimp, very little roasted red pepper, very little sauce. What there was - tasted good - there just wasn't a lot other than the pasta.

Why Should You Go? Meh - I didn't love it. If you're going to watch a game - it's fine. The food was just so-so. It's not bad - it's not great. What do you think?
