Larry and I were putting together our summer bucket list and looking up things to do in the Tri-State and realized we'd never been to a Florence Freedom game!
You can't miss the stadium - it's right off 71/75 and beckons you to eat peanuts and cheer on the Freedom!
They have quite a few different areas of the park to get adult beverages - Larry found this bottle of Miller Lite that he was ready to take home!
They have games during the game too. I get bored easily - so all the games between innings make the time go quicker. This was the big underwear run - they had kids in giant pairs of underwear running the bases - yeeha!
We even got to see a home run! Oh yeah - there was a game going on - the Freedom are pretty good. They're not actually affiliated with any major league team - so these guys are really playing because they love it. Someone from last year's squad was picked up by a big league team though.
Belle decided to come over and give Larry a little love!
Larry found a hat in their fan store to bring home for the man cave!
We were fortunate enough to go on Bobblehead night and every two tickets got a bobblehead! Actually there are a TON of fun event nights - fireworks, $1 beer and a lot more.
I think it's interesting that these players are from all over the country (a few Cinci guys) and they stay with host families! Host a player and get free tickets all season! The games are a lot of fun and if you're looking for something to do for a work outing or a family get-together - they have a couple of different areas to host those and provide food!
The Freedom provided me a four-pack of tickets to giveaway and there are PLENTY of games left in the season! Enter below and good luck! Can't wait? Tickets start at $10!
* The Florence Freedom gave me two tickets in exchange for this blog post.
No but would love to go.
